The Story of Earth by Robert Hazen
Over the eons, Climate Change has changed the planet dramatically by cycling
from a poisonous greenhouse world to a “snowball Earth” locked in ice
from poles to the equator. before recovering to an equilibrium millions of
years later. The Story of Earth tells us how the planet formed
from stardust over 4 billion years ago, t describes how life formed from
molecules, before being killed off by climate or meteors and coming back
millions of years later, how volcanoes and plant life contributed to forming an
atmosphere. Finally The Story of Earth gives us a look at what
will happen in the future. I’ve read this book twice and I’ll read it again. Tom
